Consultation and Physical Examination
Your first visit at Blake Chiropractic will include a thorough history of not only your current condition, but any previous health issues you might have had. After your history is completed, a physical examination including neurologic, orthopedic, Applied Kinesiology muscle and chiropractic testing will be performed. The goals of these tests are to evaluate the neuromuscular system and how it influences the condition or symptoms that you are being seen for.  Applied Kinesiology testing is done to determine to what extent posture, gait and muscle imbalance is affecting your condition. A specific diagnosis will be determined by considering how the entire body is functioning. The goal at Blake Chiropractic is not only to treat symptoms, but to determine the source of the problem and ultimately correct it.

Traditional Chiropractic Treatments
Dr. Steele utilizes a variety of well regarded, traditional chiropractic treatments including Diversified, Applied Kinesiology and Functional Neurology. Applied Kinesiology consists of very specific upper and lower extremity muscle testing to determine the precise neurologic and structural origins of a particular condition. This type of unique muscle testing is utilized to determine if muscles are out of balance, creating excess or additional stress on other areas of the body. Pre and post muscle testing is done, along with traditional chiropractic adjustments and other various soft tissue therapies, to specifically identify (and treat) the source of injury and dysfunction.

Therapeutic Modalities
We offer a variety of modalities including Heat and Ice, EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation), Hydro-Massage, Intersegmental Traction, Ultrasound, Myo-fascial Release, Trigger Point, NMR (Neuromusculo Rehabilitation) and ARP Therapy.

Exercise and Rehabilitation Programs
Once your condition has stabilized and improved from traditional chiropractic treatments and modalities, stretches and exercises are recommended to not only strengthen weakened soft tissues and muscles but to limit the potential for future injuries and disabilities.

Nutritional Consulting
The nutritional aspects of recovery are often overlooked in many treatment plans. This is unfortunate because it is clear that injuries alter an individual’s nutritional requirements. Various parts of the body have unique nutritional needs to heal a specific injury or condition. Proper nutritional support can make a significant difference in speeding up the recovery process. To enhance healing and staying healthy, it is important to eat a variety of high quality foods that supply the nutrients your body requires, not only to function but also to heal. Dr. Steele and his staff can advise you on the proper foods and nutritional supplements to help you optimize your recovery. In addition, Blake Chiropractic stocks a variety of high quality, pharmaceutical grade supplements and products that are available for purchase, if you choose.

Orthotics and Orthopedic Footwear
Many complaints from chiropractic patients can be traced to the way they walk and the shoes they wear. Lower extremity, knee, hip and even ankle pain can be directly related to how the foot is contacting the ground. In addition, many spinal complaints including back and neck pain as well as headaches can be attributed to structural abnormalities of the feet and ankles. One of the most effective and immediate ways to relieve complications from an irregular gait is the use of orthotics or orthopedic footwear. Our staff is trained in this service and we will work closely with you to find the most appropriate option for your condition.

We have a large network of Allopathic & Non-Allopathic Health Professionals including Neurologists, Orthopedic Physicians, Diagnostic Evaluations, Acupuncture and Massage Therapists.
